Opioid addiction has devastated thousands of lives and communities. Understanding how we got here, elucidates the need for multiple and urgent solutions to reverse the crisis.  Using the Opioid Clock Tool (either the single-page tool or the electronic tool with links to references and resources) during conversations with health professionals, legislators, and other community stakeholders will educate them on the breadth of the causes of the opioid crisis and the scope and complexity of the solutions.
