Natalya Verscheure, Tobacco Program Manager in the Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention Branch. Natalya manages a team of incredibly talented and dedicated professionals and oversees the strategic direction and goals of the Tobacco Prevention, Education and Cessation program in Colorado, supporting statewide work in policy, systems and environmental change. Prior to joining the Tobacco Control program, Natalya has over 10 years of experience in the Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response field, serving in a variety of roles, including CDC and Hospital Preparedness Grants Program Manager. She also did a short stint as a Contracts Manager, working on variety of process improvement initiatives in the Prevention Services Division. Natalya stumbled into public health over 14 years ago from private sector consultancy world and never looked back. Business process and quality improvement initiatives continue to be a big part of her professional career. She holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.
